It wasn’t long ago that our ancestors measured their age in how many winters they’ve seen. Winter is the ultimate expression of transition. Weather will dictate what is covered in this course, as we will be out in it constructing shelter, making fire, and working on skills important in getting through this rugged season. We will also do so in a fun and engaging way that tempers respect with thankfulness. These are two primary elements in cultivating a healthy and productive attitude toward Winters rugged beauty. Come push your edge in a safe manner that develops growth in your skills in the outdoors. Learn winter strategies and techniques that will improve your year round abilities. It is recommended students have completed an Earth Living Course, but not required.
