Survival 2 (Earth Living) follows Survival 1, the survival foundations skills. The self reliance that comes from crafting a comfortable and enjoyable experience with any landscape in all seasons until the outdoors feels like home. Each course is different but follows the outline below.
Make an effective shelter from debris, make fire from the landscape, process drinking water and prepare wild food.  Learn how primitive skills, bush craft, and survival skills can become a way of life. Skills will carry over into daily life, increasing balance, health, diversity, and a sense of connection to nature.

 

Although no previous experience is required; this level is focused on what is described as “earth living” which essentially means living in nature and thriving in an “off grid” situation.

  • Attitude and mindset for survival

  • Debris hut design and construction

  • Mechanics of airflow, heat-loss and thermal envelop design

  • Bow Drill on the landscape

  • Water sources

  • Debris Hut refinements and modifications

  • Airflow management: Igloo door and door plugs

  • Hand Drill Friction Fire,

  • Spear Fishing,

  • Rock tools,

  • Snap bow and quick arrows,

  • Practical foraging,

  • Natural cordage

  • Adv Traps and snares,

  • Elements of Awareness

  • Field Meteorology,

  • Bird language

Thriving by living in a long term nature setting requires skills and knowledge of the immediate environment coupled with the will to to succeed and grow.
