Late Summer Awareness Weekend
August 10, 2024 @ 9:00 am - August 11, 2024 @ 5:00 pm
Spring is a time of awakening, arriving, and new beginnings. Witness the dramatic shift from Winter to Spring in the movements and migrations of plants, mammals, birds, and landscapes.
Learning to read the landscape as in depth as you would a book requires all of your senses and provides you access to many more choices and options. As you exercise your senses you will also gain skills that will make your daily interactions more engaging.
Side effects may include increased abilities in:
aid-less navigation
reading patterns in tree growth for useful information
field meteorology
wildlife and human tracking skills
understanding animal and bird behaviors
natural movement
reading the history of the landscape through it’s flora and geological features
A sense of timelessness and a baseline of deep nature connection and joy have also been reported.
