Wilderness Immersion of by special permission. Increased Awareness gives you increased options toward more positive outcomes; both in survival as well as your day to day interactions. Experience moving with greater fluidity, less of a disturbance, and richer, fulfilling experiences with greater frequency toward a new “baseline”. What You’ll Experience:
-Tracking and Trailing skills through leaf litter.
-Reading the Landscape for Useful Information and Resources pertaining to life sustaining systems.
-Accurately Navigating over Distance Using Only Features of the Landscape.
-An increase your perceptual abilities and gain in self confidence through consistent success in observing your environment for meaningful and actionable information.
-Reading your seasonal ecosystems to discover more wildlife, interpret bird and animal behavior, understand tracks and signs, and more accurately detect weather patterns.

Maine Primitive Skills School offers campsites to students during their stay at no extra charge. When preparing to arrive, plan as if you were going on a comfortable car camping experience. You will have easy access to your vehicles during meals and before and after course times. Check out our “What to Bring” page and don’t hesitate to contact the school for more details.
