Natural Navigation is the most effective means of “Lost Proofing” available without gear. Develop your senses to read the landscape as in depth as you would a book.  If you do this you are only lost if you have a place to be and a time to be there.

Share an experience in how to find your way and remain found in in the backcountry. Learn to read the landscape to determine direction. Understand cues from limb lean, puddle evaporation patterns, and prevailing weather to not only find the way out, but also to find the best place for a shelter, the closest location for drinking water, and where to set your deer stand. This is a great intro class if you want to see more wild life and travel through the forested landscape with more navigational tools at your disposal. Our courses are fun, experiential, and full of useful information.Bring a bag lunch and appropriate gear for the weather. We’ll be outside and walking through the woods. Light to moderate physical exertion (Light Hiking).
