Field Craft: Useful Trees and Plants – evening

Identify trees and plants of winter landscape, access what they have to offer in the way of food and medicine. Explore forest & field alike learning how to recognize and use the plants and trees around us to help short or long term living needs.
End the evening around a camp fire sharing the plants and trees discussed whilst hiking through both mixed hardwoods and needle leaf forests.
In this hands on experience you will identify useful tinder, kindling and fuel before being challenged to create the closing campfire with your new found skills.

Maine Primitive Skills School offers campsites to students during their stay at no extra charge. When preparing to arrive, plan as if you were going on a comfortable car camping experience.
