Elder Craft: Condolences & Recovery
October 24 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Being closer to the end of life than to the beginning, we see a lot of the self-destructive stories we held on to as youth being let go. Helping others recognize and lose those stories includes addressing the grief involved. Condolences and recovery are inherent in any separation, from the death of a loved, to the loss of a relationship (even a destructive one), to being removed from your comfort zone during a survival situation. The cycle and sequence is similar, even though the intensity, timing, duration, and expression are highly personal and vary considerably.
As Elders, we become the safe place to vent for many. How do we utilize this sacred trust? Sympathetic ear? Sage advice? A good Cry? Ceremony? In this evenings course we will share our experiences as we explore the options.
