Wilderness Immersion participants or by permission. Designed for those wanting to live long term in the wilderness or independently off grid and/or refine their craft.  This level is focused upon what is described as “off glid living” and the enhancement of established skills. Non Wilderness Immersion participants contact the school via e-mail at staff@primitiveskills.com.

Prerequisite: Earth Living 5 Day

  • Selective Hunting and Foraging
  • Tool Selection and Use

Thriving off grid is a popular idea that needs careful attention to skill development for the leaders/trainers in a group or family.  Living in a long term nature setting is not only rewarding but beneficial to all involved.  At this level we study the essentials of long term living in an independent environment.

Maine Primitive Skills School offers campsites to students during their stay at no extra charge. When preparing to arrive, plan as if you were going on a comfortable car camping experience. You will have easy access to your vehicles during meals and before and after course times. Check out our “What to Bring” page and don’t hesitate to contact the school for more details.
