April is the ideal time to start your foraging adventures for the year. Green shoots of countless varieties are popping out of the ground begging to be picked for your salads and wild roots are beckoning from beneath the freshly thawed soil. Join us for a day of discovering choice edibles common to New England this time of year.Plants we are looking for include:

Dandelion

Plantain

Burdock

Yellow Dock

Day Lily

Jerusalem Artichoke

Pines, Cattail

Lamb’s Quarter

Yarrow

Coltsfoot

Jewel-weed

Japanese Knotweed

…just to name a few possibilities. Let’s see what the landscape brings us.

Be prepared to be out in the near by fields and forests harvesting  something delicious and nutritious for us to craft into an afternoon snack of the wild kind! Regardless of your experience or skill level in regard to wild plants, trees or Fungi we will help you push your edge and learn something new.
