Basket Weaving and Fiber Arts

June 6, 2018 @ 9:00 am - June 10, 2018 @ 12:00 pm

| $620.00
Instructor Hannah Rhea shares self reliance through fiber artistry.

Join Hannah Rhea as she shares in hands on exploration of Fiber Arts and Basketry. During this five-day course we will craft ash splint, pine bark, and willow egg baskets from materials we harvest on the land. The gathering and preparing of wild fibers will also keep our hands busy as we learn the art of weaving, cordage making, and ancient spinning techniques. Camp sites and a small dorm are available. Our apothecary serves as a kitchen if you plan on staying over night (no extra charge). Nightly campfire stories and songs as we weave are part of the experience.

Limit: 12 Students

Cost: $620 for the Five Days.
